'Do you know the Dutch tag game 'boompje wisselen’? The girl I painted here is playing it. As long as she holds onto ‘her’ tree, she's safe. She’s waiting for a chance to run to another free tree.  As long as she manages to change trees without being caught, she stays in the game. Note the hesitation in her eyes. Will she go? Is she going to make it?' *
