Hand axes through the years

The ultimate Stone Age object: the hand axe. They were used for many purposes, such as slaughtering animals, woodworking and fire making. But not all hand axes are the same. For example, they are not always made of flint. Hand axes have existed for hundreds of thousands of years and over time we see fashion and tradition changing. This can be seen, for example, in their shapes. You will also come across poorly made hand axes. Perhaps they were made by children who still had to learn.
